Do I Need A Disney Travel Agent?

Once you've decided you can manage Saving for Disney, you need to figure out how much you need to save. In order to be able to do that, you need to make an important decision...to use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner...or to book and manage the trip yourself.


Here is what you'll need to make sure you are willing to do if you book the trip yourself.
  • Do the research and book your vacation package. That includes deciding when to go, where to stay, how long to stay and what kind of park tickets you want.
  • Do the research and wake up EARLY on two separate occasions. In order to book your advanced dining reservations and fast passes, you need to know what you are doing, when and move FAST. Think of it like buying concert tickets.
  • Do the research and know about all of the deadlines and extras you may need...when reservations open, when to check in to the hotel, booking the magical express, booking a stroller and scheduling drop off and pick up, booking special event tickets and activities.
  • Be willing to call and wait to talk to Disney about any issues/problems that arise.                  

If you're like, yea I've got this, then go on with your bad self and book your vacation. I've found the My Disney Experience website/app to be very user friendly and there is TONS of information out there about what to do and when to do it. 

However, if you would rather just have someone give you the options to choose from and not have to worry about a thing, you might enjoy using an Authorized Disney Vacation planner. It's free and they are Disney experts! They will give you recommendations based on their experience and that of their clients, will book everything for you, be on the lookout for the best deals, take care of any issues and some will even go the extra mile by creating customized itineraries or sending you little gifts before or during your trip. And YOU are still in control (as little or as much as you want to be) of making all of the decisions!
